FC5 Automatic Network Environment Settings

How can I switch between wired and wireless environments (network devices, dns, proxy, default printer, starting vpn client) automatically? I would like to use FC5 on an IBM ThinkPad at differents locations without retype & reset all the network settings.

FC5 includes NetworkManager which can handle most of this:

It won't automatically switch the proxy server and default printer, but NetworkManagerDispatcher enables you to have scripts that run when the network connections go up or down - the man page for NetworkManagerDispatcher explains this briefly.

You may need to install vpnc from Fedora Extras for (Cisco) VPN support.
