configuring wlan

im configuring ndiswrapper as instructions in their installation wiki says. i apparently need wireless linux tools and i tried installing it from their website but that still doesnt work. i need the tools to use commands like iwconfig and iwlist... how can i get those commands to work?

is there a yum command.... i searched in the yum extender and couldnt find it

ok i installed it via yum -y install wireless-tools. i can successfully scan and find networks. however, how do i let networkmanager know im on a wireless connection?

the ndiswrapper install wiki says:

Now, setup the network parameters for the interface wlan0. This varies from distribution to distribution.

can anyone link me to a tutorial or tell me how to do this? thanks.
