Greetings

Ok, here's the problem: I've been trying to connect to my wireless home network, but without success. It is in DHCP mode and WPA-TSK protected. I've successfully installed ipw2200 (I have a centrino notebook) and I also followed this guide to enable wpa_supplicant: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=100788&highlight=wpa+fc5

As a side note when I start wpa_supplicant i says ok, but with the following output (not sure what it means):
Starting wpa_supplicant: ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
Failed to set encryption.
ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
Failed to set encryption.
ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
Failed to set encryption.
ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
Failed to set encryption.
ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
ioctl[IPW_IOCTL_WPA_SUPPLICANT]: Operation not supported
I also have network manager running and it detects my access point (including signal strength and that it is encrypted). However, in the end it fails to connect. I already searched the forums and found nothing that can help me.

Can somebody help?

Thank you very much

Ok guys, no need to reply

I solved my problem by adding the advice in this post: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=101489

One important note was to disable the wpa_supplicant service in system startup and changing the driver in /etc/sysconfig/wpa_supplicant to "-Dwext" instead of "-Dipw". This made the strange wpa_supplicant message go away.

Thanks anyway
