If I leave my laptop on over the night, then my wifi card will be disconnected in the morning. Is this because of some powermanagement or a bug or?
Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

BTW, my wifi card is an Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2915ABG MiniPCI Adapter (rev 05)

Do you have a static IP if not that might help only guessing though

Nope, I am using dhcp... But the strange thing is that it works ok if I use an open system (i.e. disable encryption wep/wpa...)

Yeah mine is similar the signal strength decreases when I enable encryption so I put it down to not enough signal strength sorry I can't help more.

Strange you should mention this.

I use a Linksys wireless router, have 2 windows pcs both with different wireless cards and a Fedora Box. The Fedora pc will always stay connected to the wireless but the 2 windows machines wont??

I couldnt care less really as its my business partner that uses the Windows anyway :)

Well, my signal strength is almost 100%, så that should not be an issue...

Can't be the powersaving on the laptop or it would do the same with an open system. or the DHCP either for that matter.

I did have fc3 running on a static IP with WEP with no issues standard install with madwifi driver compiled myself maybe that is what made it stable, I might have to try compiling it again in FC5.

Will let you know once I have tried it.
