Connection was refused when attempting to contact

Hello all,

I am really hoping for an epiphany here. I can not seem to access any secure sites that require me too login in to them ie: bank sites/ebay/united states postal service and many more. I get the error: the connection was refused when attempting to contact www.suntrust.com (for example). :confused: We have tried everything with out firewalls and security and nothings seems to work. Does anyone have any suggestions that could clear this up for me. I work from home and need to access this sites to update my files. Thank you for any help.

check that the outbound port 443 on your firewall is open.. 443 is the https port.. Are we to assume that you can browse the internet to normal http sites?

Yes, I can browse most sites. Can you tell me how exactly to check for the outbound port on my firewall? Thanks so much.
