Hi there guys,

I've screwed with SMB long enough, and I'd like to try swat, in hopes that it will help me actually create a working network. I've installed swat, commented out "disable=yes", commented the "only_from=localhost", restarted smb and I tried to get to the swat config page: http://localhost:901

The connection is reset by the server. swat is there, the config is rediculously lenient, 901 is listed in the /etc/services file. Going to http://localhost shows the default template, so the server is running.

How in the heck do I get to swat? If I don't get a trouble-free network soon, someone's gonna get hurt, and unfortunately, it will probably be me when I stab myself in the eye with a dessert spoon.

thanks,
json

What the hell is this, a Windows support forum? Hell no! This is a Fedora Support forum!

Give me an F!
Give me an E!
Give me a D!
Give me an O!
Give me an R!
Give me an A!

Now give me some help.

-Did you "chkconfig swat on"?
-Did you "service smb restart"?
-did you "disable=no" in config file?

- and did you allow samba ports through firewall.

>commented the "only_from=localhost"
pls change it to "only_from=127.0.0.1" then restart smb.
