I'm switching from Kubuntu to fedora and right now Kubuntu has my wifi driver pre built in it.If anyone has one can you tell me if a linksys wmp54v4 will work from the start?

well, the linksys wmp54 v4 is apparently based on the ralink rt2500 rather than the atheros chipset for v3 and earlier.

Ubuntu have integrated as many drivers as possible into their linux, a different approach than Fedora.
