Hi Everyone. I've been using Fedora for abiout a yeatr now and have really enjoyed it. I usually use the txt based install and then search for ours on the relevant sites to figure out waht needs to be done. I have generaklly been setting up a few Linux servers running Tomcat......
However I've just found a need that I require a proxy server. I currently have a Firebox as our gateway that runs a secure vpn to another firbox. All out browsing also goes through this. I want to take teh load of it so in parrallel I've built a Fed5 server and installed squid, plus some other stuff I'd eventually have a play with.
Now I set the proxy in [tools], [internet options], [Connections], [Lan Settings]
to
IP: 192.168.0.150 Port: 3128
Now this all works fine, until I open up IE on a client machine and go to Microsoft Windows Update and choose either Express or Custom. It eventually times out and gives the following error:-
AAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH what a Bstrd just went to check what error code it was giving and now its working....
