So I just recently converted a windows user to a FC6 laptop, everything is going great so far excpet one prolem and I have no idea what to call this to look it up on the net.
I set him up with wlassistant and the connection works fine for networks without WEP.
However at his house his rommate has WEP enabled and they use a text password in windows and the router, like "beth" or something, so they tell me. I have never heard of this, mainly because I don't use encryption, especially nothing other than hex.
Does anyone have any idea how he can connect to that network, very simply, and using the text wep key, I ask because I am on thin ice converting him to linux and I don't want to loose them.
