I get an error when booting FC6 on my inspiron 1501 that my network card is not detected. Does someone know which network card it is and which sollution can be applied. I've searched the internet, but didn't seem to find anything about this problem.

type "lspci" at a shell prompt. This command should list the ethernet interface(s). My IBM T42 shows
...
02:01.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82540EP Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Mobile) (rev 03)
02:02.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection (rev 05)
in the list.

I finally succeeded in getting that output, these are the cards I should get working in time:

05:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-PCI Card (rev 01)
08:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX (rev 02)

During boot I get some message of B44 not seeming to be available in the system (it's in dutch), if someone knows where I can find the output of the booting process, please tell me and I put the exact information here.

Grtz,
Diamond
