Hello all,

this would have to be my first post on these forums so I guess I'll just make a very brief introduction here.

My name is Todd, 18 years old from Australia. I have just installed FC6 on my computer to double boot with windows XP and I haven't touched a linux distro before, so this is my first and I'm still learning the very very basics.

I apologize if there have been 50 posts on this exact topic, I did a quick search and found a few results, but none that I could understand, so here we go.

Like I said, I'm running FC6 on my comp. I have a D-Link dwl-g510 wireless card in my computer but it's not being picked up and I need to install an rlt8180+ driver which should work in configuration with the d-link. I have the driver downloaded, but don't have a clue how to install it.

If it's not too much to ask can someone give me some very basic step-by-step instructions on how to do so? This is very stressing.

Here are two discussions for this card in linux, the first suggests ndiswrapper the second madwifi. I've used ndiswrapper with a Netgear WG111v2 usb adapter but found I had to install a modified 16K Stack kernel, so madwifi might be simpler for you
