ya i did the way u asked, the setup asked some questions nd i answered those. but it doesnt work. what i have notice is that it didnt asked for the server ip to connect. if i am setting up a VPN client, the client shud know the server ip to connect, rite.In windows xp station i have put the VPN server ip. but in fedora core 6 asdl-setup it doesnt ask. And i went through a google search, it seems to creat a VPN client i have to configure pptp. And it shows only how to create it in GUI mode, i want to configure in command line mode, and also it doesnt show to which ethernet i have to select. when setting it in windows xp machine it ask to choose a ethernet card. Can anyone help me?

are you sure adsl should be used with pptp?
you can download client from http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/
and use perl script 'pptp-command' to configure pptp

im not sure wether i hav to use pptp or adsl-setup. all i know is that adsl-setup isnt working. i think im missing something. after configuring adsl-setup, i use the command adsl-start to connect, it doesnt show any messages. then i used adsl-status to see wether its connected, but its says the link is down. Could please be more specific and tell me howto to setup it. i show @ this link http://www.sourcemage.org/node/1635 someone tryin to setup a VPN connection to a network. i went through it, but it doesnt work either.

I doubt it's pptp, it's probably ppp, which is something completely different.
