Can someone please tell me what is the difference betwean ipv4 and ipv6? I have read on the internet that there are no big differences, but I would like to know what is the adventage of using ipv4 or ipv6? I'm asking this because I have installed new kernel from kernel.org and I did not includes ipv6 support in this kernel. And now when I'm booting my system I'm getting the following warning 'CRITICAL ipv6 is not compiled/included in the kernel' so is it save to ignore this warning and continue using ipv4 or i should also install ipv6? Also to mention that my machine and network are working with no problem.
