I have my router set to a static IP for this PC. I had a static IP on it with Fc5. Now I installed Fc6 and Eth0 install failed. I think I have to reset the static IP for the PC, but I dont know how. :confused:

use System->Administation->Network from the top menu or run "system-config-network in a shell.
From the Window and the devices tab select the correct ethernet interface, and then the "edit".
Select the "statically set IP addresses" button and enter the IP address.
You also want to select the "Route" tab and "add" then add router gateway info.
Then OK/Apply , file->save, and deactivate/reactivate.

For a lot of reasons DHCP (dynamically configured networks) is a better choice if it's availble to you.

but this also depends if you have static IP from your ISP. U can use your router static ip but it is only between your router and your comp.. rest of the word it is your ISP
