i have a neighbor whose access point has a stronger signal than my own, and iwconfig keeps jumping over to their network because the signal is stronger.
how can i keep iwconfig from jumping to their access point? or how can i keep it locked on to one access point?

Change the SSID.

Just cancel your Internet and use theirs? :D
Seriously though, change your SSID, and channel, tell your neighbour that he/she should really turn on WEP/WPA etc. which will stop you connecting.
I'm not sure if there are any settings to block access points.

Have your neighbor setup wep encryption and/or MAC address filtering so you dont connect. They will probably thank you in the long run for making their signal more secure.

i have hopped on theirs to check the scene out. It's amazing how little people know about wireless security...and i hardly know anything!!!! I found their router wide open, default l/p. I recently informed them and helped them set up WEP and SSID changes :D
thanks for the help fellas!
