perlsyntax, I am in a country that most of sites is blocked and i tried some proxies sites but most of them either blocked or doesn't support ssl.

Seve, I looked at the links you provided and I saw them before and i installed tor but it gives me the following:

/etc/init.d/tor: line 60: pidofproc: command not found
/usr/bin/tor is dead and /var/lock lock file exists

so if you have any info please help

Now I fix tor problem by replacing pidofproc by pidofprof and now tor is running, but how can I know that it's really run because i get timeout when using it as a socks proxy.

Personally i just install tor by 'yum install tor' and then install foxyproxy
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2464
thats it not setting up, messing around with ports etc.

in china, they block everything...including the http proxies. my work around is a CGI proxy hosted on a server in the USA. http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy/
