start wireless only if ethernet is missing (on startup)?

Hello!

I've been using Fedora for a couple of months, and the only thing that really bothers me is that it takes it a looong time to start up. Most of the time seems to be spent looking for a wireless connection that isn't there (or trying to connect to one that is too weak).

I've thought about just preventing wireless from starting up automatically, but there are some times when it's useful. What I really want it to do is check for ethernet first, and if it's missing, then look for wireless.

Is there any way to do this?

Disable profiles in system-config-network and use NetworkManager instead. NM will use your wired connection if it's available, and wireless if not.
