I'm running FC8 and I am able to connect to my router wirelessly via NetworkManager. However, there is no option for it to save my password. This is very annoying as I am not always at home to re-enter the password if it loses connection or what not. Is this a bug that I cannot save my password? Is there a workaround? NetworkManager is the only util that I can use to successfully connect to my router so an alternative like WICD and WiFi-radar are out of the question. Any information is appreciated.

For F7 in KDE i used KWallet app to store the password and had Knetworkmanager access it for its password. If i remember correctly when i was in Knetworkmanager and put the password in and clicked connect it asked if i wanted to save this password in Kwallet. though im using a simplier password to access kwallet, i dont know if you can make it so it requires none.

Interesting, by default all passwords are saved in the gnome-keyring

yeah, same here. I have to type in a master password when gnome-keyring starts, but yeah its saved all my keys and passwords so far
xfce will be another story though, not sure how I'm going to work that one out yet. I've never cared for KDE.
