Dell Inspiron 1520 Network problem under Fedora 8

Well, I know this is a known problem but I can't detect any network with my Intel3945 wireless card. I tried Fedora's "solution" (editing modprob.conf) but it didn't fix anything. What's even more weird is the fact that wired connection doesn't work neither. When I plug the ethernet cable, it says connection was established but i can't go on the web with Konsole or lynx or anything else though I got the right driver for both connections since they worked on the livecd (b44 and iwl3945). Help Please?

Ok My bad guys, the ethernet connection DOES work sorry. I also found a lot of post by people having the same problem as me but i still don't know what to do, i mean it worked with the very same driver on the KDE liveCD so why wouldn't it be workin now ? I can't see my router's access point in the network manger, please guys, enlight me with knowledge.
