I can't get the dvd to work so i got a live cd. the ethernet worked to install from live cd, but when i booted from the harddrive and go to network settings, i get this message while attempting to activate ethernet:
Device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization

Was eth0 working before on your hard drive boot, and stopped working after you tried the live CD? Or has it always not worked?
What kind of network card? PCI? Embedded on motherboard?
If you go into System > Administration > Network, does eth0 show up in the list?

It worked with Widows, i put in live cd, it worked, i installed fedora, rebooted, it didnt work
it is a Broadcom 440x Ethernet controller supports 10/100 Ethernet connectivity. The Broadcom adapter also supports Boot-to-LAN, and PXE support."
eth0 shows up in the list but there are no devices under hardware

If you go to a command prompt and login as root, what do you get if you type in:
service network restart
