Hello unerau

You don't say if your current setup is working under Windows or not.

The WGR614 is a router but it doesn't have a modem in it so I assume you are using some sort of cable ADSL?

If you are trying to connect to the router wirelessly then we will need some more information and I'll come to that in a minute.

Assuming your router is set up to allocate ip addresses to the connected machines by DHCP then if you connect your laptop to the router by a cable it should configure automatically.

Can you confirm if that is the case?

Assuming it is so and the problem is just connecting wirelessly to the router, can you specify which desktop environment you are using (KDE or Gnome or something else) and if you installed from one of the livecd's or a dvd.

Then run the command:

/sbin/lspci -v

in a terminal window and post back the part of the output that applies to your wireless network card.

In case you haven't come across it before, you can easily highlight and copy from a terminal window the same way as you would anywhere else.
