I received a Buffalo Linkstation Pro 250 GB (network HD) from a relative. This doesn't have a built-in print server (unlike the Linkstation Live). My question is this:
I've seen sites showing how to change the firmware of the Linkstation Pro.As my linkstation uses an ARM CPU I must use the Freeware firmware (which installs a basic Debian linux system) and then add a print server. Cups, I think? It's the last bit I'm not sure of.
As I already have Fedora 6 on a PC (and the Linkstation is connected by ethernet to my router is already running on some form of linux using XFS filesystem, how can I mount the Linkstation and install a print server.
Surely someone has done this successfully.
Any advice welcome.
