I am having trouble connecting to encrypted wireless networks with Fedora 8. I have tried updating to the latest Network Manager suggested on the Fedora wiki but have had no luck. If anyone knows where I can go get a HOWTO or can help in another way I would appreciate it :p.
Thanks

are you running the wpa-supplicant service?

Yes and I've tried having it start at boot and letting NetworkManager start it when it needs to.

What driver are you using?
If the driver doesn't properly support the wireless extensions <wext> you may need to change the way you use wpa supplicant.
Try setting up the interface using wpa supplicant by itself, if it works then you most likely have a wext issue you will need to stop network manager and start wpa supplicant. to do this.

I do have a problem using wpa_supplicant by itself and I am using ndiswrapper. Also I am able to connect to unencrypted wireless networks

Well I guess we are way ahead of ourselves here.
Need to get the thing to work first, what chipset and driver are you using.
