Ok I have a home network and I can see the other network computers with samba from from the other computers. With this one I cannot see the network. When I click on "network servers" I get the "windows network" icon up but if I click on there, my network will not come up. Not sure what is wrong. Would anyone have an idea?
Thanks ahead of time.

sadly, this is a gnome bug. samba still work, howerer. to connect to a computer use the Connect to server... option under File in natilus. Type in a name in the first option and the address in the seccond. the address should look something like: smb://computername/sharedfolder

hmmm ok I'll give that a shot, but but funny the rest of the FC 2 installs I have work just fine when I click on the "network servers" app in the apps list.

I'd be interested to know how you get on. I have one FC1 box with a very similar problem and another on which Samba works just fine.

If and when I ever get it figure out I'll post back here what I did or what someone helped me with.

Well I think I found the problem.
I believe it was the Linuxant Driverloader driver I was using for my wireless. Heres how I found out.
I was doing something last night and my laptop locked up. Stayed like that for about 5 minutes so I did a hard shutdown. Well when I refired it, the boot would always get hosed up around the eth1 loading. Which is the driverloader driver. So I rebooted into the other kernel and I was able to finish the boot. I removed the driverloader driver and was then able to reboot into the latest kernel. I hooked up the cat five cable and bingo Samba's Master Browser can see the other pcs.
When I had the driverloader installed I had the setting correct just like I have for eth0 or the cat 5 wire ,so that wasn't it. If there has been any comments about FC and driverloader I guess I missed them. Gonna try the madwifi drivers next see how they do. I know they work because I had them working in Slackware and I could see the whole network with Samba.
So theres my cure, it was Linuxant Driverloader.

Ok could anyone give me some hints on how to get Madwifi working in Fedora. I could do it in Slack and it was pretty easy in there, but here Im not sure.
Thanks ahead of time.
