Hi folks,

I'm having a bit of a problem with Fedora Core 2 and a domain on my network.

I'm trying to setup Fedora so it will authenticate logins against the domain, so only domain users can login (and so I don't have to re-create a whole bunch of users).

I went into System Settings -> Authentication and had a look at the settings in there for WinBind.

I have checked the 'Enable Winbind' support option, then clicked on the Confiure Winbind button.

In the Winbind Settings box I have the name on my domain in the Winbind Domain section, Security model is set to Domain, Winbind Domain Controllers is set to the domain server and Template Shell is set to /bin/bash

I did also try clicking the Join Domain button.

When I click the Join Domain button I get the following:

Domain: EXAMPLE.COM
Domain Administrator: Administrator <--- I have changed this to the domain admin password
Password: Domain administrators password

I had a similar problem last time when I tried Fedora Core 2 for AMD64, this time I'm trying out the x86 version under VMWare 4 before repartitioning and installing properly.

Any suggestions would be handy.

Regards,

Rob
