I've been having problems getting my FC 2 Orinoco driver patched.

In order to use anything like KISMET you need to have the Orinoco driver patched to support monitor mode. I've had problems installing/patching the Orinoco driver, because I believe that FC2 has the driver built into the kernal. When I try to compile the Orinoco driver after patching it, it fails. I can provide the error logs... but I suspect that the solution might be to recompile the kernal?

Has anyone been successful in patching the Orinoco drivers under FC2?
Any tips?

Thanks!

Use orinoco-0.15rc2. The problem is that the Patch for orinoco-0.13a isn't adapted for the kernel version at the moment.

What kernel are you using?

I just patched my Orinoco Gold Classic to go into monitor mode.

My kernel is 2.6.8-1.521 and the OGC driver I used is 0.13e.

I be glad to help you as much as I can.
