Hi all,

Have a new Fedora box working really nice. I setup qpopper to act as the
pop server with sendmail. Sendmail works great. Here is my POP problem:

1. I can telnet into mydomain.com pop3 and get the desired response of "+OK
Qpopper <version4.0.5> at queen starting
2. If I check for new email with a program like MS Outlook Express, it
authenticates beautifully and says I have no mail.
3. If I send an email from the Linux box locally (ie: mail denis) and check
for mail via Outlook Express, I get the message.
4. If I send an email to denis@mydomain.com, it looks like it goes and all
should be good . . . EXCEPT: There are no messages to retrieve.

The message just gets lost.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Denis

ctrl+alt+F1
login
type mail... and look if mail is there.

'mail' is there. That is the only way that I can get a message - by sending a message from one user on the Linux box (ie: mail denis) and then checking it from Outlook Express. It's the messages that are sent from other systems that are not getting into my Linux box. DNS and all that is OK also.

Thanks anyway, but its the POP server (qpopper) that I am having a problem with, not the email client.

Having similar problems using ipop3 on Fedora core1 and postfix as MTA

All mail messages local and remote end up at correct user mailboxes on server and can be read locally via postfix in var/mail but using outlook or OE logs on fine and authenticates as proven via logs yet says no messages to collect. But the messages are present WHY and HELP
