Is Fedora Core 3 updateable? I just want to know so if I install it I won't be left behind...
Thanks in advance,

it is not yet released.
So when it will be released in half a year or so, it will be updateable.

What I mean to say is this: If I install fedora Core 3 test 1 on my system, will I be able to get updates, or will I have to reinstall when the final release comes out?
thanks,

first, it is better not to install a test release especially not the first one, as a working computer
second, it is technical possible, but not reccommended to upgrade a testing version to a stable one.

Point your yum at this :).
[base]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base

If you install test 1 of Core 3 on your system you will use rawhide to get the latest each day at least. You will test things and report any issues you find. It's the first test release, everything may break and nothing will work. Don't use test releases if you don't know what you're doing. The first step is to subscribe to the fedora-test: http://fedora.redhat.com/participate/communicate/

Short answer, is yes. By default, unless I'm mistaen, FC3 test 1 will create a yum.conf in /etc that has one active entry, that points to the development RPM repo.
I have a yum.conf full of items (latest gnome builds, etc.), but the most important of course is the rawhide repo.

I started with FC1 and then did an upgrade install of FC2-Test1 from the iso's and then all the development/rawhide updates during that testing phase and then did an upgrade install of FC2-Test2 from the iso's and then all the development/rawhide updates . . . . and on and on and on to a very recent upgrade install of FC3-Test1 from the iso's and now its development/rawhide updates . . . . and it all seems just fine!!!
I get the same bugs as everyone else does in the tests and the same things that work fine for everyone else work fine for me. I have never done a clean install except for the first one. Just all these various upgrades and updates. I know this is not the recommended way at all, but it has worked fine for me so far.
