Is anyone else experiencing up2date running quite slow as far as resolving dependencies and what not? I just lose my patience every time and result to running yum update manually which is much faster. Just wondering if this is an actual issue or not?

Fedora Core 3 is this forum :) I've noticed this before also in FC2. thanks for reply. You don't know anything about my kernel-sourcecode post do you?

BTW: no the mirrors are not whats causing slowness, it seems it takes forever to resolve dependencies? I dont have a slow machine and using yum from command line is much faster.

The mirrors you have specified for YUM may be different to those that you have specified for up2date. Try adding mirrors to up2date and see if that helps (it's very simple - follow the links in this thread.)
