There is a good tutorial here (http://foolish.digitalinc.info/docs/gift/) for a tutorial on how to replace Kazaa with a Linux Alternative, GiFT with the apollon front end. It's written by forum member Foolish (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=256), a big thanks to him for this great tutorial.

Small typo there my friend, the frontend is called apollon, not apollo.

Nice guide foolish. Just finished setting it up and I'm happy with the functionality compared with Kazaa.

Yea of couse it can. Just download either aMule or xMule. You can get them from the freshrpms repository.

Would anybody be willing to help a total newbie get this up and running?
I have everything installed via the howto link above, but when I go to configure using gift-setup, I'm not really sure what to set each setting to.
My network looks like this: Cable connection hooked up to a Router/WAP. I have a Windows 2003 SBS w/Exchange Server 2003 which handles DHCP and my mail (perk of being part of the MS Action Pack from work). My desktop machine is a dual boot Fedora Core 1/XP Pro.
Sorry for all the info... But I need to know the necessary settings in order to get this up and running. I very much appreciate your help :)
