Im running FC2 (2.6.7) and mozilla 1.7. We just got DSL available in our neighborhood. The dsl modem set up ok, and I can ping the daylights out of every sight I can think of, but mozilla first says resolving *....., and then connecting to *...., and it hangs.
If I boot to RH9, which I'm using right now, it works just fine.
I reloaded moz 1.7... no help.
If I use the dialup modem with moz 1.7 on either RH9 or FC2, the browser works fine.

Any ideas?

You may need to disable ipv6
..in /etc/modprobe.conf ...add the line
alias ipv6 off
this setting seems to affect internet access for dsl/adsl folks

Isn't the line 'alias net-pf-10 off' ?
Maybe I'm wrong..

And you have to provide the correct DNS info in 'system-conifg-network' DNS tab..

oops that is a good thing to do also...I have both in my modprobe.conf...
I was looking at related problems and they seem to point to ipv6...
