Is there any to enable 3d support for t2? I couldn't get it to work with fc2 even though I was using a card that I know damned well meets the requirements.. (ati radeon 9000 sapphire.) It is really annoying because I want to try out that 3d desktop thing. (I wonder if he got it to work with Fluxbox.)

did you attempt to use the drivers from ati or the rpms via yum for fc2?

I didnt want to use the patches for fc2, for fear of making fc3 blow up...

I printed out the fedorafq instructions..but the patch for the drivers misbehaved I will try it again though, I found that I could uninstall fglrx via yum. (it was magically installed but not working...)

changes to fc2 shouldn't affect fc3t2 becuase they have different kernels and you have to install the ati drivers for every kernel you have.

i was having promblems with my ATI Redeon, so guess what? i sold it on ebay and with the money i purchased a nvidia card and now i have 3d acceleration.....

so now i will stick to nvidia i believe they have better support.

But nvidia sucks compared to ati...I'll never go nvidia again ever. Ironically my geforce 2 started to die and then I stole my dad's raedon 9000 :D I also swiped his 512 ramstick and most recently his 6.1 sorround sound speakers although one speaker is still upstairs. :D

He doesn't even use the computer, I wish he would let me turn it into a server. Oh BTW does anyone know where to get the Kernel source code for the test 2 Kernel's? I can't do anything with ntfs or my card without them.. :(

if you are going to use fc3t2....best thing to do is join the developers email list.

Found it, I have to get the code from the source rpm.... which means I have to uninstall my current kernel then reinstall the source rpm....What they hell did they do with the regular rpm, if anything it should just get the dammned source rpm if they want to do it that way...

Update can't get the ati drivers to work..the DRM apparently doesn't like the Kernel I get this error ATI module generator V 2.0
==========================
initializing...
Error:
XFree86 drm includes at /lib/modules/2.6.8-1.584/build/include/../drivers/char/drm do not fit this driver.
This driver is designed to only work with X4.1.0 or higher.
You can match this by getting Linux kernel 2.4.8 or higher.
any ideas, do I have to wait for a new patch? did this with fc2 as well so I dont really think this is just a bug in tfc3.
