Network just stopped working o_O

A while ago, I used to get that mesasge when I tried to activate eth0, however it stopped and everything was working fine for a week and a half.

Now it's not activating eth0 and I'm getting
Determining IP information for eth0... failed.

It doesn't have the "no link present. Check cable? "

What could I have done to cause this?

a few minutes of a cold boot seemed to help. It's working now, but I also uninstalled the kiosk tool, just in case that caused it.

Were you trying to activate a DHCP server?

nope, the only thing different was the kiosk thing I installed and it started working when I uninstalled it, so I'm forced to conclude I messed it up with that somehow.

i get the same error. On FC 2 kernels up to 2.6.6 worked just fine, kernel 2.6.7, 2.6.8 give that error. i can manually activate network though.

nope, I don't really need the kiosk thing, it was just a toy to look at, so if it doesn't work right for me, I'll just uninstall it. :)
