I finally have T2 up and running. Up2date wants to update. Of course the program first. I have it running but so far the progress dialog is just says: "Testing package set / Solving RPM inter-dependencies". Any suggestions, it is doing nothing. :(

Up2Date stalls out a lot when you use it to get many packages at once. If you do want to stick with it, try getting them a few at a time, until it builds up a good database of headers. Often, when it looks like it is doing nothing, it is actually slowly getting headers to check package dependencies. Also, some of the mirrors are terrible, but there isn't much you can do about that, except kill it when it is crawling and try again in the hopes it goes to a faster mirror the next time. Yum or apt/synaptic do seem to be a lot more stable when it comes to doing these large updates.

Try it from the cli
yum update
You might run into programs that have dep problems and up2date might not be showing them and your just hanging.
