Dear All

I have a window based network with the 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 settings. I have a wingate proxy server (192.168.0.16) on one of the machines for providing internet service to the network.

I have assigned static IP to the Fedora Machine (192.168.0.44) as all the other machine in the windows network too have static IPs.

The problem is that I am unable to ping Fedora machine from any Windows machine and visa versa.

The most amazing part is that I was able to use Internet on the same Fedora Machine just by giving the IP of the Wingate Proxy Machine a few days back on the same machine. I have also tried reinstallation but no luck

Kindlt tell me what I must check and what is going wrong here

Our firewall block all pings from outside source

I am not trying to ping any machine outside my own network. I am trying to connect and share the internet service within my own network of windows NT and windows 2000 machines. I have a windows machine (Wingate Proxy Server is running on it) from which I want to get internet service on my Fedora Machine just by giving the IP addresses
