Connecting a cable modem using USB interface

I wanted to follow the instructions from http://www.freewebs.com/linuxnet/CableUSBLinuxEn.html in order to have my FC2 connect to the internet using my modem (with dialer). Th ething is that 'lsmod' doesn't show what I expect it to (according to the document).

Any ideas?
