Here's my problem... I have an old Ibook laptop running mac OS9. I want to install fedora core 2 on it. How do I do it?

P.S. It's not set up to detect an operating system from the CDrom Drive. How do I do this?

uh... i am not completely sure, but CAN you install fedora on a mac-lappy?
i do only know of ubuntu and yellow dog as mac-lappy compatible distros...

google: fedora core mac ppc. you will find some info on it...

just a few:
http://www.bytebot.net/geekdocs/ibook/fedorappc.html
http://osdir.com/Article833.phtml

and here to download the actual files:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/ppc/

not sure about your boot cd problem, but there is some inkling I think in the bytebot link above... also, I believe if you want to install without boot from cdrom you may have to put the necessary file(s) in the root dir of an OSX installation.

Checkout the guide.

PPC architecture is not quite up to the level of x86 yet.

Moved to PPC.
