I have a fedora core 3 linstalled in a laptop and windows xp connected via samba. everthing appears to work etc I can see the windows machine but have two problems.
1). when I log onto the windows machine from the linux box the password appears forcing me to enter username and password. I then log in and can see the windows shares. However when I just hit escape the same thing happens...How would I go about changing it so that if I hit escape it wont let me see the shares?
2). how would I got about configuring the fire wall so that port 137-139 alllow me to get to the other box but still have the firewall running so no one else for outside(i,e internet can get in)? :) :rolleyes:
