Okay, having two problems that I might as well combine into one thread.
The first is that when I have the VNC server service run automatically, it seems to steal several of my favorite other services and give them to the VNC user thingy (namely my screensaver and custom key bindings). I connected to the VNC server and the screensaver was running, yet I could not get it to run on the real user. I wonder if that made real sense...
Oh, I guess the other problem was caused by the VNC server as well. Perhaps it wasn't a problem afterall. I was going to ask why I had two of each process in my process list, but - DUH - it's because the VNC user was using them too.
Okay, so this thread has suddenly become pointless. I've stopped the VNC server from running automatically, because I really don't use it anyway.
I will salvage the thread by asking "Is there a way to stop the VNC server from stealing my screensaver?" (even though I don't really care anymore).
