Just needing a little help or ideas where to look for solutions.
I’m new to linux & running Fedora Core 3. Everything was running beautifully, then yesterday when I logged into linux I had no internet connection. I checked my network configuration and the Ethernet card is active & grabs an IP, nothing seems to have changed – but then I might be missing something.
I’m running only a cable modem (dhcp). Network card is SiS 900. I would really appreciate any ideas on where to go from here.
If more info is needed, please let me know.

Is SElinux on? What happens if you ping 127.0.0.1, 24.103.233.134, yahoo.com?

I'll slap myself for you...
When I pinged yahoo, the error came up as not permitted. So off to the the firewall I go ... and well, I'm embarrassed. It's odd the settings were changed, but I'll play around to find out why.
Thank you so much for your help!

Its customary to click on the reputation once the problem is solved on Fedora Forums. ;-)
