I just installed the full package of Fedora Core 3. I am using Airlink Wireless router, to a DSL modem. I have my computer connected via NIC card/Ethernet to the router. I have a 865PE Neo 2 series mother board, with gig lan nic that's installed on the board. I have made sure it's DHCP and that IPv6 is not being used. But the Internet is still slow. I have updated the files using yum. The Red hat updater downloads at 4 kb. Very slow. Any suggestions?

I researched another forum on this website and disabled IPV6, wow my internet is streaming. :D I used the quick command #echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf

@cpost i had the same problem when i first install my FC3. If i didn't get wrong you had this slow connection problem only in red hatup2date right?
when you first run up2date you see 2 boxes 1. fedora-core-fc3 / 2. updates-released-fc3. uncheck the first one and continue to select which files to be upgraded.
if it is only a problem for up2date i did it like this. But when i install fc3 (clean install again) and run up2date again for the first time. no slow connection. it was normal.. so.. goodluck
