Folks:

Another stupid newbie question -- am running FC, have an enternet cable hooked to a 3Com 572/574 Fast Ethernet card. Network status says it is "active." However I am unable to access any web site. What am I doing wrong? Any assisstance grovelingly appreciated.

Also, if there is any sort of resource that can walk a newbie through installing Ndiswrapper -- I mean using language simple enough for Coco the chimp -- if some kind soul could point me there to I will sacrifice my firstborn in your honor.

I dont know what exactly could be wrong with your cable connection but sometimes you have to enter DNS and user's login name.

About your Ndiswrapper here is a tutorial: http://www.fedoranews.org/contributors/e_a_graham_jr/ndis/

What kind of network connection and modem model?

Use System Settings > Networking to setup DNS settings and things like your ISP says.
