Tell ATI that you want a driver that works with Xorg. The link to send requests and driver feedback is here: http://apps.ati.com/linuxDfeedback/index.asp
Hopefully if enough of us send in the request we will see Xorg drivers in the next release :D

please note that it is possible and not very difficult to get ATi's current drivers working on Xorg (and fc2).
see rage3d forum. This thread: http://rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33757007

yea i know i have mine patched and working but i would rather have official drivers that do not need patching to work with fedora.
This shouldnt be something that is a problem with ati since Xorg seems to be what is going to replace xfree86.
I just figured others, like myself, would rather have official drivers from ati that you dont have to spend time surfing around the web to find a patch just to get drivers installed.

ATI already provides an opensource driver "radeon" in x.org 6.8.x that provides 2D and 3D for all their gfx cards below the 9200 series, and 2D acceleration only for all their newer cards, including the newer X series cards (PCI versions included).
And ATI have already promised to release x.org 6.8.x compatible drivers sometime in December.... keep your fingers crossed :-)
