I actually almost had ndiswrapper working, at least it showed up in ifconfig and iwconfig. I could manage it, sort of, using the network configuration under Fedora Core 3. However, since I restarted the computer I now get
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.10-1.741_FC3.stk16/misc/ndiswrapper.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
Here is the last few lines after I type dmesg
[root@local ndiswrapper-1.0]# dmesg
:
:
:
Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
ndiswrapper: Unknown parameter `'
ndiswrapper: Unknown parameter `'
ndiswrapper: Unknown parameter `'
Now I was getting past this stage when before I rebooted, and was having a problem where every now and then I'd get garbage spewing out to the console, I was originally looking for a fix for that, as the wireless card seemed to be up and working, although I couldn't see the Access Point.
Other info if it helps.
Am using a Belkin F5D6001 (ver 3.0) PCI with Fedora Core 3 with kernel 2.6.10-741-stk16.
[root@local ndiswrapper-1.0]# ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
bel6001 driver present, hardware present
I also have used eth0 as the device name, rather than wlan0.
Cheers,
Colin
