I have a ethernet NIC and rrouter/modem (http://www.aztech.com/DSL600ER(B).htm) ] conection. At first I could update but then my newbie hands most have done something wrong. I can use the web, at first I couldn't use google or any search engine, but then I found somewhere a tip to disable ipv6 on firefox through th about:config dialog. But now I can't use synaptic or yum to update, it just doesn't dowload the header and/or the updates.
I don't know what happened but it's almost as the router doesn't allow my updates. everything else works, web, mail, even msn
can I use some kind of port forwarding in the router conf to make it work?
the ethernet card is a realtek 1869s and the modem/router is Ntech 600dsl.
I had problems with my previous FC3 instalation and the NIC so I dida clean install and even my wacom tablet problems were resolved with that. funny. well after the clean start everything was dandy, but then I couldn't access google due to that ipv6 thing [i guess because after i turned the option to false it worked very well from then on]
how can I find out what is the port used by apt-get or yum???
but I really my updating
