Greetings,

I am new to Fedora Core 3, I have the following two problems:
a) I want to share A folder between my XP (NTFS) and the Fedora which are
on the same machine.

b) I cannot access the LAN I am on (when I use Fedora). although I can ping to
machines on the LAN (Virtual IPs), I cannot ping the proxy server.

I would be really thankful if anyone can help me.

A. you need to get the kernel module drivers from sourceforge.net to be able to READ from a NTFS partition

B. you probably havn't set up your devices yet
go to applications--->system settings---->network
enter root password when prompted
Now the dialog box that pops up will list out Devices already configured. if there isn't any, then we need to create them(or 1)
reply whether you have any or not

try this from the terminal

su -
then
ifconfig
post the results

Thank you for your reply,

First what modules should I download, Second the Ethernet adapter is already configured. but the Linux say it is Accton Adapter, while Xp says it is HP (which is by the way), but I can ping to the machines on the LAN, except the proxy...

Thanks again in advance
