Day 3 of trying to get this to work. The hardware is up, is seen by the kernel, and all is good in the neigborhood with that. Running Fedora Core 3, WPC54G wireless card, HP ZE4200 laptop. Using the ndiswrappper program.

I cannot save any settings about my wireless network. I have SSID broadcast disabled (and I also tried it with this option on with no luck), and I am set to channel 4 with a 128 bit WEP key. I try to set up in neat with Auto, Channel 4, 11MB rate (this is a g card accessing a b network) SSID and key. These settings don't stick. even on restart, these settings read ESSID:off/any RATE:54 Mb, etc. with an iwconfig wlan0. However, using neat, I can see that all settings I made are preserved.

I think this is the reason I can't connect. How do I get Linux to keep the settings I give it? I tried using neat and manually configuring ifcfg-wlan0 through emacs, neither is working.

Please help!! Thanks.
