I have this (http://www.xterasys.com/xr1105+.htm) Xterasys router ( the XR-1105+ ) and want to use it with my FC3 machine and WinXP machine. (I don't want the machines to see eachother, just share a broadband connection through this router.) The router was advertised for Linux compatibility, yet the documentation doesn't mention a thing about it and neither does the support site (see link). I've been searching for awhile and really don't have a clue as to how to set this up. If anyone could point me to relevant HOWTO's for linux and networking newbies (believe me, I've looked) or give some advice it would be reaaaally appreciated.

thanks jim. I used your guide and the similarities were uncanny, adding some IPs did the trick.
