The internet is connected to my brother's machine, and shared on the LAN(XP with SP2 if it would help). I would like to know, if Fedora can connect to the sharing.

yes--if he has internet sharing turned on.
Just set your network card to use his ip as the "gateway".

The sharing is on, I use it from Win ME.

Thanks w5set!

It would be better to place a cheap router between the ISP and the two machines connected to the router.
The router would at least block input ports, and the two machines could share files and printers, and each could access the internet with the other machine off. The Windows machine will still need AV and FW and Malware blockers. The FC3 machine will be fairly protected from the default iptables, only needing to add 137-139:tcp ports.
Make sure the router has a FW and can have ports and ip's managed via the software.
Both machines would have ip like 192.168.0.n.

Just something to thing about.
