Hey i have a toshiba Satellite A75-S231 laptop

I've read this page http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43718
Everything seemed to work except, it still wouldnt recognize my card (its embedded in my laptop, its an Atheros Super G ar5211 chip)
When i booted it up though, it did give me the sign that new hard ware was detected and went to this kudzo thing. I started configuring it, but when i got to the last line, it like when to the console thing from like the beginning and said stuff like swap space and other stuff, it then froze doing nothing, i've repeated many times and always get the same thing! When i choose the other options in networking there is an eth1 thing that is de-activated. Now when i start up FDC3 or i activate that eth1 (even though i think it should be ath1 or something) i get a message saying something like initializing the device device not initialized. Delaying initialization. I've tried many times of turning my wlan switch on and off but no luck!

O yeah and if i start a new wireless connection there is no madwifi or atheros card for me to select

I've tried multiple times of installing but to no avail!

Any help/suggestions/alternatives would be appreciated!

DVDZ,

I'm struggling a bit with the same issue. Did you use ndiswrapper-1.1 to install you windows drivers. I got a fujitsu laptop with a Atheros AR5001X+ card. I have tried using ar5211.sys and net5211.inf drivers during the install. Both driver come up invalid at "ndiswrapper -l". A few websites said these drivers support the card on XP, so I assumed they'd work on FC3 if installed properly.

couple questions did you use ndiswrapper-1.1, and if so did you go through the "make rpm" process, or just do "make install"

Thanks for any info.
